Upcoming Projects at the Club
Network Cabling Replacement
From Monday 3rd March, for approximately 6 weeks, we will be replacing the network cabling throughout the Club. This may involve some periods of disruption where drilling and noises can be heard, but the majority of invasive work is being undertaken out of Club opening hours.
Swimming Pool Filter Replacement
From Monday 31st March, for approximately 2 weeks, our swimming pool filters will be replaced with new, modern ceramic filters. The removal of the existing filters is noisy and dirty work, so there may be periods of time where the swimming pool hall will be quite noisy.
Replacing these filters will reduce our water consumption, decrease the amount of chemical used to treat the pool water and consequently deliver improved water quality for you to swim in.
Conversion to using the new pool filters will necessitate two days of pool closure. The pool will therefore be closed on Wednesday 9th April and Tuesday 15th April 2025. We apologise for the inconvenience to members as a result of these closures but the work cannot be completed without some downtime to the pool filtration.
Car Park
As highlighted in a recent update on the Sports Expansion, we wanted to again recognise how frustrating we know it has been for our members over the last few months to have had reduced car parking spaces available at the Club. The new, larger, car park with 100 more spaces than the original car park continues to take shape and should be ready in early April.
During this time, we request the following from all users of the car park:
- Please park considerately, within marked spaces, to allow all parking bays to be used and ensure the safety of the car park for all users.
- Wherever possible, car share with those travelling to the Club at the same time as you.
- During peak Club hours, please use the Christ’s Hospital School car park for additional parking (follow directional signage along the main drive for this car park).
We really do appreciate your patience for sticking with us whilst this project continues to take place. We look forward to bringing you further updates and the exciting new facilities later in the year.
