Dear Bluecoat Sports Member,
The government announced a National lockdown which means BCS will be closed until the government advises when leisure centres and gyms can re-open.
The team have worked hard to keep BCS a safe place for our members, staff and pupils and we will continue to make that our key priority. Thank you to our members for your support during this time and adhering to the measures we implemented as this helped to ensure BCS stayed safe and open.
The centre will be remaining open for use by the pupils of Christ’s Hospital School and therefore a small number of staff will be on site to keep everything operational. We will again be furloughing staff and we will monitor the situation and react to any government announcements.
The NHS Vaccination Hub will continue to operate from BCS and as you can imagine their work is more important than ever. Ensuring that as many people get vaccinated as possible is the best way to combat this virus and to getting our lives to as normal as possible.
Membership fees:
We will once again be freezing all Membership fees until further notice. For advanced paid memberships, your membership will be extended for the period of closure. This will be processed automatically on your account, no action is required from you.
Keeping fit during lockdown:
We are planning to offer you a range of options EXCLUSIVE to our members, to help you maintain your fitness levels and stay active in the comfort of your own home.
YouTube: We have developed a variety of workouts that you can complete at home. These include short HIIT sessions, Pilates, Yoga, Dance Fusion and more. These are suitable for all abilities with minimal equipment needed.
BCS App which you can download for iPhones or Android devices. The GPS feature in the app will help track your outdoor activity such as walks and runs that will help you keep up with your fitness goals.
Finally, we want to thank you for your support this year. It has been a challenging year however with your continued support and membership through Covid we have been able to keep our doors open. We would ask for your continued patience and understanding as we try to find a way to keep BCS up and running and financially viable as we move into 2021.
